MONDAY, May 11:
- Commuter Tent at BODOS on Preston 7:00-9:00 AM and 4:00-6:00PM
- Kickoff bike ride and potluck sponsored by Charlottesville Bike Mentors! Ride at 5:30, meet outside the downtown Library. Pot Luck starts at 6:30, 138 Goodman St, in the backyard. New and Beginner Cyclists especially welcome!
TUESDAY, May 12:
- Commuter Tent at CLARK PARK (across from Mellow Mushroom on University) 7:00-9:00 AM and 4:00-6:00PM
- Pick-up Bike Polo game at McIntire Skate Park at 6:00 PM — newcomers and curious welcome to attend and participate
– Musical Raucous Romp Ride at 8:00 PM leaving from McIntire Skate Park — sponsored by the Nighttime Bicycle Singing Society
WEDNESDAY, May 13:
- Commuter Tent at LEE PARK on E. Market Street 7:00-9:00 AM and 4:00-6:00PM
- Community discussion: Drivers and bicyclists rights and responsibilities 12:00-1:00 in CCDC on the east end of the downtown mall.
- Group Bike Ride led by Ruth Stornetta at 6:00 PM — meet at Regal Cinema on the mall for a recreational 7 1/2 mile loop
- 20 mile Advanced bike ride near Kluge Estate at 5:30. Sponsored by Outdoor Adventure Social Club – optional pizza at Dr.Ho’s afterward – contact Matt Rosefsky at 434-769-HIKE to register for the ride (first come first served—limited to 6 people)
THURSDAY, May 14: BLUE MOON DAY!!!!
– Commuter Tent at BLUE MOON Diner parking lot. 7:00-9:00 AM and 4:00-6:00PM
- BLUE MOON diner will be donating 10% of the day’s profits to ACCT! So plan to eat Breakfast, Lunch or dinner at the diner!
– DIY fix-a-flat clinic in the Blue Moon garage facilitated by Community Bikes volunteers and Syklo Bikes. Drop-in between 5:00 and 7:00 pm.
– 10% off dinner for fix-a-flat participants at the diner — bring your helmet for a discount.
– City-Wide bicycle scavenger hunt leaving from the diner at 8:00 PM
FRIDAY, May 15: BIKE TO WORK DAY!!!!!!! BLUE WHEEL BIKES DAY!!!!
- Commuter Tent at West Main Market parking lot sponsored by Blue Wheel Bikes
- Re envisioning public space: temporary park(ing) space 12pm-4pm at the corner of West Main and 5th St SW
- Movie Showing: VEER! at the Bridge at 8:00 PM — $5.00 suggested donation
